Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Product
I looked for a while to find a scanner that would help me scan all my film negatives to store digitally. I selected this one and have been extremely happy with its performance and ease of use. It works quickly and does a great job with the clarity and detail of the photos. The software for correcting imperfections on the scanned photos works great too. I would buy this again and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a high quality and versitile scanner.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - best scanner I've ever had
This scanner beats all others that I've had. Easy to operate and makes wonderful scans and copies. Amazon and UPS got it to me very quickly.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Canon 8800F review
I am very happy with the Canon 8800F. It is easy to use right out of the box. I have already scanned old B/W 620 film negatives from my parents era (1930's thru 1950's) and the results were good. Slides and color negatives also scan well. The quick generation of a pdf file with the pressing of on button is also convenient. I hope to have time to read the documentation further to get the full use of my new toy but thatwill have to wait (probably unitl winter).

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - So easy a caveman could do it!
Seriously, this has to be one of the easiest pieces of equipment I've ever used. I'm scanning old family slides. The simplicity of this piece of equipment has helped me quickly turn old slides into digital images. It works with several photo editing software packages. I'm using Picasa and it has been flawless. You can change the resolution of the image you are scanning.

Easy to understand; straight forward instructions. Set up took no time at all. Quality of images if great!

It has brought back to life many old photos of family and sparked some fun conversations!

An easy recommendation! Well worth the money.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - does a great job...just a bit tedious
have already reccommended it to a family member who bought one too. when my teenage son broke his arm at the beginning of summer i bought it to keep him busy and let him make some money. he has scanned a few thousand of his dads old slides so far and it works great. only complaint is he wishes it could hold more slides at a time!
all in all a good product at a decent price...just be prepared to spend a bit of time doing it.
