Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - After tweaking, works fine.
This is a must product for anyone who has a Keurig coffee maker. The K Cups are pretty expensive and for someone like me who drinks 3 or 4 cups a day that can be kind of expensive.

The my K-cup allows you to use your own coffee in our Keurig. It is easy to use and you can easily switch between the My K-Cup and regular K-Cups.

The instructions are easy to understand. You'll be using your own coffee minutes after taking this out of the box.

The downsize is that this is a tad messy. After making a cup of coffee you will want to clean it, and loading 2 tablespoons of coffee at a time can be tedious at times.

Also the instructions suggest using coarser ground coffee. I used finer ground coffee and found the results were more suited to my taste. So I would definitely suggest this more for someone who has control over how finely their coffee is ground.

I bought this because I was tired of having to buy coffee from Keurig and wanted to use my own brand of coffee. It costs about the same, maybe a few dollars less, and you get to use your own coffee.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great, but poorly made
I have been using my Keurig coffee maker for a couple of years and really like the coffee and being able to make a cup at a time, as I want it. Because I don't like many of the k-cups taste and I don't like spending the money on them, I bought the My K-Cup reusable filter. On the whole, I like the coffee it makes and it is pretty easy to fill and clean out (although, some of the convenience is lost by using this).

However, there are two issues with this filter.

1. It breaks pretty easily. I have now gone through about 3 of them (I've just started using the 4th) in my almost 2 years of using the Keurig coffee maker -- so one every 6 months. It seems no matter how careful I am with it, the lip breaks off. Why they cannot make this of higher quality, I don't know. It still is more economical than buying the pre-packaged k-cups (as well as being more environmentally friendly and tasty), but it does get old having to buy new ones.

2. Unless you get the grind right, which takes a bit of work, coffee grounds do end up in your coffee.

Other than that, I am happy with the reusable filter and will continue to buy them until they make something better.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - weak coffee
keurig reusable coffee filter. I tried it five or six times with different brands of coffee. It always came out very weak coffee. There was not enough brewing time using this filter. The pod is stronger.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Great Idea - Poorly Made
We have a Keurig and while we love it, the My K-cup essentially doesn't end up saving you any money, because little by little the outside casing falls apart and you have to keep buying more.

And at $15 a pop, that can get a little pricey.

We are on our third one right now, and we have been able to save the filter baskets for them and switch those out, but the lip where the lid screws on begins to crack and fall off in little pieces.

I contacted Keurig about the problem and their suggestion was to be sure not to tighten the lid too much. We stopped doing that after the first one broke and it hasn't made a difference. They also offered to send a free replacement for me. It's been 3 months and I still have yet to see that happen.

If you can deal with the frustration of having the product keep breaking and don't mind replacing them, go for it. We still love being able to choose the coffee that we want to make, but are considering changing back to a full pot with all the hassle this has been.
