Tools & Hardware : Rapid Reel 150-Foot Perpendicular Wall Reel #GH164-PDIn association with Amazon.comRating: - Best real, Amazing customer serviceReel is the best of it's kind out there! I broke a small tab that connects the hose coupler to reel during install and I mentioned that on the customer survey RapidReel sent me; They sent me 2 replacement tabs immediately without me even asking for one! Great quality build, will buy for other properties as well. Rating: - Great Product, Super Company, People and ServiceAbsolutely Excellent Company and people. They contacted me about a backordered part gave an estimate of time and came in well before the estimate, but they checked with me every step of the way, absolutely terrific service from an AMERICAN COMPANY making an AMERICAN PRODUCT. Kudo's to all you folks. I bought 1 each of the hose reels to try them and they are perfect and very well made. I'll be ordering several more of each of them. Good stuff from good people. How refereshing you guys, keep it up!!!!!!!! Rating: - Exceeds expectationsThis is the third rapid reel product I've purchased. As with the other 2 the quality and finish are outstanding. The reel is made of an alloy which is light weight but strong and non-corroding. It's easy to assemble, operates smoothly and is leak free. Their customer service dept is among the best. If you purchase this reel, you will never look at a plastic reel again! Rating: - Perpendicular Hose ReelThis Rapid Reel perpendicular reel is my second and I am happy to report there is no deterioration in quality. The cast aluminum mount and reel, the stainless steel fasteners, and the brass rotary joint are what sets this reel from the other plastic models. Of course it costs more, but you know when you go to use it there are no leaky sprays and cracked plastic. Worth the money. Rating: - Great productLike most reviewers here, I got sick and tired of leaky, squirting, crappy plastic reels. I looked for what ranks the highest among Amazon reviews and I found the Rapid Reel. Have been using it for a month and am very satisfied so far. It has nice solid, mostly metal (aluminum, brass, stainless) construction, with a couple of minor cons: 1. full assembly required, 2. definitely not as capacious as the label claims. Assembly isn't too difficult but one needs to follow the step-by-step instructions to do it properly. The claimed 150' capacity is an exaggeration. This is a 100' reel. The brake to prevent hose from self-unwinding is made of plastic parts and some reviewers here complained that it broke rather quickly. The trick is to adjust it only enough to stop the reel from unwinding by itself. No need to set it too tight. I don't think it should ever break when adjusted to give only slight traction to the reel, which is plenty enough. I shall keep the warranty papers and definitely use it if anything leaks or breaks within 10 years. |
