Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Oh, so that is what is susposed to sound like.
So I seen a lot of reviews on here with people using these things to use for their home stereo and amp to a car head unit. I used mine to hook up my XM radio to the back of my aftermarket head unit. The FM modulator built into the unit was ok, but you still had squeal and static noise. Especially when you got into areas where there are radio stations on the same frequency. It was a pain to constantly change the channel.
So I hooked it up to the aux input on the back of my head unit. The squeal was worse.
After using this, it is awesome! It really sounds like a cd playing and no noticeable loss of noise whatsoever. Now I can really enjoy XM radio.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Eliminated the 60-cycle hum
I live in a 70 year old home with ancient wiring (2-wire, no grounded outlets) and circuits with too many outlets and devices on them. My bedroom TV is a flat-screen monitor attached to a DVD-Stereo amplifier and a DVR-Cable box. My computer and home fax are on the same circuit. When we watched cable shows (but not when we watched DVD's) there was a serious hum making the experience far less than enjoyable. When my son, for the fifth time, asked me to do something about it, I did a google search for "60-cycle hum", found that a "ground loop isolator" might work, and purchased this based on an Amazon search, price, and 2-day Amazon Prime shipping (it arrived Christmas Eve).

I inserted this device on the audio output jacks from the cable box to the amplifier and then plugged the existing cable into the other end of this. The result was better than expected. The ground loop hum is gone, and my son thinks this was a better present than his iPod (could have saved $200 if I had only known).

Highly recommended, but it is rather ugly. Fortunately, it fits behind the receiver and isn't particularly visible.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Product
This does exactly what it claims to do. My speaker hum went away. It was the best price I could find.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Got rid of the hum, good sound
I bought this device to connect an iMac to a home entrainment system. When I first tried to do this I got hum, presumably due to a ground loop. With this device added, which I assume is an isolation transformer, the hum is gone and the sound quality is good.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Metra Ground Loop Works
I used this product in connecting my computer to my tv. This got rid of the buzzing in the audio. Works as advertised and a good value.
