Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love this tape!
I have been doing this workout since I was in high school, and I love it! One note of advice though--if you have joint problems, this workout may be too hard on your joints. My mom has bad knees and can't do this workout.

But i have alwayed wanted to meet u in real life but i know that can't really happen to me. just to get to the point I am writind u cause i have a big weight problem and i need your help cause i came from a family who doesn't have much money so it's really hard to really talk to u about this i weigh aabout 350 or more and i have a child who is almost one. i would love to be able to play and do things with her cause it is very hard for e cause i am always out of breath. When i look at her i cry all the time cause i wish i wasn't the person that i am but it's the way it is. Sometimes when i go places people just look at me and i feel really bad so i jsut leave and come home crying all the time so i just thought about u cause i decided that it would be ok to ask u for your care.

Thank You for listerning to me but if u can't help i will still always thank u for being the person u are today and all the people u have helped.Bye

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fun! But too cute in parts for me
I like this video. I do it every other day, alternating with STTO 2. I started 3 months ago, as a complete beginner (at 49) at this sort of thing but thought I might prefer this type of exercise over walking (and walking and walking) as part of the program reccomended by my doctor to lower my blood pressure and help reduce the cholesterol count. It wasn't difficult to learn the routines , though there are still parts where I get caught out, but mostly I catch up pretty quickly. A couple of things irritate me about both, they each have one song with a routine that I loathe, mostly because I can't do part of it. In STTO 2 its Jailhouse Rock , the first part is almost impossible for me to do on a carpet, in 3 its The Name Game which has a lot of redundant hand and arm gestures and the whole thing is just a bit silly. Having said that, I get round it by doing my own thing , picking up the routine again when its gets more worthwhile. I think I prefer 3 despite this, its fast and fun and it has certainly helped me to lose (with diet) 33lbs.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Wonderful music and a great workout!
I bought this tape on a whim because when i was in HS gym class we used to do this tape. Boy was I in for a suprise when I first did this tape! It is a great workout that really gets your heart pumping. Plus the music is very fun to dance to. Richard Simmons is an inspiration to us all. He knows what it is like to be in a situation where you are at rock bottom, and he brings us out of it. The beat is great, the songs are great and the workout is great. The only problem I found with it was that Richard doesn't explain what the target heart rate is. That is important to you when you are exercising. Otherwise put on your dancing shoes and get to sweating!

Usually I'm not that incllined to do exercise. In fact I despise it. But I absolutely love this tape! Not only is Richard Simmons and inspiration to all of us that need to lose a few pounds, he really can get his groove thang on! The music is totally contagious and the workout is great. It isn't too hard but it also isn't too easy. You really do get your heart pumping with this tape. Plus you get to sing along with the music. The only ting Richard doesn't explain is the heart rate and what your target should be. Perhaps it is in the other tapes, but if you only own this one, check into what your target heart rate should be. Otherwise start sweatin to the oldies!
