Books : Small Engine Care & Repair: A step-by-step guide to maintaining your small engine (Briggs & Stratton)In association with Amazon.comRating:  - Great repair book just a little datedI got this book in recently and was impressed with the quality of the text and illustrations to guide you through most any part of the engine you were servicing. The book is orgnaized into sections covering each of the area of the engine such as carburetor or electrical. One trick to using the book effectively is finding the sections that are relavent to your engine; some features simply were not on the engine I was servicing. My only complaint about this book is that the information is a little dated and does not cover some of the newer engine designs Briggs & Stratton has. In my case I was looking for more information about the Pulsa-Jet Carburetor and it is not covered or even mentioned in this book. Enjoy this book, for the relatively small price it is worth the purchase. Rating:  - A Lawnmower SaverThis book is well organized. I found the cause of my lawnmower problem, then followed the instructions to fix it. It runs like a new machine now. I saved a lot of money and had the satisfaction doing it myself. Rating: - Pictures and detail data are easy understoodThe book has many pictures in an orderly fashion that can clearly guide you to disassemble and assemble a small engine. Rating: - Very good bookI hate manuals with pics you cannot even understand, poor quality. THIS BOOK has Great pics, easy to understand even for someone who doesn't know much about engines. It may not fix every single problem, none do. I highly recommend as a Great All Around Book. It is also up to Date! Rating: - Lots of picturesA very easy book to follow. It is very easy to understand. I would buy it again if I had to do it again. |
