Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - What happened to Cyndi Lauper?!?!?
I always thought Cyndi Lauper was immune to the pressures of the recording industry. Was I proven wrong with this album!

I think I understand what Lauper was thinking when she recorded it: "Madonna did it and she's succesful, so I can do the same!". NOT. She has a tremendous singing voice, her 2003 effort "At Last" was beautiful, to say the least. Why would she ever record an album with horrible lyrics over terrible electronic music is beyond me.

Two stars - only because ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THE OLD GIRL STILL GOT IT !
FINALLY THIS MAGNIFICENT SINGER COMES OUT WITH SOMETHING WORTH LISTENING TO FROM BEGINING TO END SINCE THE 80'S ,I MEAN YES IN EVERY ONE OF HER CD'S OF THE LAST DECADE OR SO THEY'RE HAVE BEEN A FEW GOOD SONGS BUT NOTHING LIKE HER 80'S RECORDS UNTIL NOW IN MY OPINION PERFECT SELECTION OF SONGS FOR HER UNIQUE AND STUNNING VOCALS, TOO BAD NO REMIXES SO FAR, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE HUGE HITS THEY WOULD BE BUT IN ANY CASE THIS CD IS A MUST HAVE, BEAUTIFUL.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Still Having Fun!
Cyndi Lauper is back in a big way. I saw her perform just before album was released and she bought the house down. She definately has not lost her touch. Talent never fades just resignates. This is definately a pop/rock soul fest, with a variety of songs to move your body and your mind. This will take you to the Brink but won't leave you there without something to take away. Excellent work, welcome back Cyndi.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - it's nice is to be proven wrong
When I first looked at the 5-star rating in the U.S. (after more than 100 people voted on it) and in the UK (with 10+ people all giving it 5 stars) I became slightly suspicious. Was it possible to get such a level of consensus on what seemed to me a past-due-date artist? Or was it simply perhaps the gay community rallying behind one of its favourite heroines? Some sort of a payback. Well, I had to find out...

I've always been a big fan of Cyndi's voice. I've always listed her as one ... Read More
