Editorial Review:

Album Description:
For Celtic Thunder, Sharon Browne has teamed up with Grammy-nominated Irish songwriting and composing veteran Phil Coulter to produce a show that includes an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the traditional "Mountains of Mourne" and "Come By the Hills" to international hits such as "Brothers in Arms" and "Desperado," as well as original compositions by Coulter, who has written hits for Elvis Presley ("My Boy") and the Bay City Rollers, and performed with Van Morrison, Tom Jones, and the Rolling Stones. The ensemble numbers in Celtic Thunder reflect the power of the vocalists, who range in age from 14 to 40, and feature songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Celtic Thunder DVD
I loved this show. I watch it all the time. Two of my grandsons (5 and 7 years old) have watched it as well. They love the song "Puppy Love" and "Heart Breaker". I would recommend this to anyone who loves great music that actually makes you feel good.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - GREAT!!! I LOVE it!!
Celtic Thunder has to be my favorite celtic concert DVD ever! I especially like the variety in the voices of the five singers. You have Damian who brings youthful exuberance, Keith who has charm, Ryan who is mysterious, Paul who is sentimental, and George who has such a traditional celtic sound. I first saw this show on PBS and immediately ordered it as well as the cds. I have probably watched it a hundred times and still can't get enough of it. I do have a question though. Can anybody tell ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Celtic Thunder: THE SHOW
WOW! Saw this on PBS one night without knowing who they were and loved it! It is an original show and one that should be shared with many! These young men's voices are simply amazing and to watch the audience enjoy each song was terrific...just had to have it! A delightful evening of entertainment so original and moving!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Magnificent, and that's not a strong enough word!!
I thought I'd gotten old and jaded. I've seen the Beatles live (Forest Hills Stadium, NYC 1964); and the whole gamut from Rick James to Hank, Jr. Video - or live - this is the best concert I've seen in my life. Five magnificent voices, five distinctive styles, carefully melded into a series of individual and group performances. A young teen (Damian McGinty) who will absolutely knock your socks off; Paul Byrom, a genuine Irish Tenor, who's doing his best work in a group format; Ryan Kelly, a young ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Slightly Negative First Impression Wore Off FAST!
The gaunt face and dark mood of the cover artwork do not match the bulk of the show at all. The first number also seemed an attempt to prove the show had some somber edge. The first listen-thru sounded vaguely anti-war. But the voices and the harmonies grew on me, as did their personalities. What sounded anti-war was actually anti-Irish-infighting and pro-Irish-unity. Great sound, interesting lyrics in spots. Now, the whole neighborhood is listening and watching and trying to get more copies ... Read More
