Editorial Review: Product Description: NEW ON BLU-RAY THE CURSE OF KING TUT'S TOMB Thousands of years ago, the great Child King Tutankhamen ruled. Few know the details of his life--no one knows the secrets of his death. All that is about to change. Free-spirited archaeologist Danny Fremont (Casper Van Dien, Sleepy Hollow) is certain that if found, King Tut's Emerald Tablet would hold the power to control the world. Unfortunately, the only one who believes Fremont is his nemesis archaeologist Morgan Sinclair (Jonathan Hyde, Titanic), a member of a secret society who wants the tablet to harness unspeakable evil on the world and will stop at nothing to get it. With the help of a crackerjack team that includes the doubting Egyptologist Dr. Barakat (Leonor Varela, Cleopatra), Fremont ventures into the Valley of the Kings, toward Tut's tomb, nearer the portal to another world, and closer to the truth behind a mystery that will change the world forever--or end it. Directed by action movie veteran Russell Mulcahy (Highlander) and co-starring Golden GlobeĀ® nominee Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) and Simon Callow (The Phantom of the Opera). DVD Features include Bonus Features with the Cast and Crew. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - The Curse of King Tut's TombThis movie meets all the requirements of LOW BUDGET. It is somewhat entertaining but has gaps in the story line and problems with believing it. Special effects aren't bad. Most of the story is borrowed from other movies such as the Mummy as well as a small protion from Tombstone, and the Matrix. The actors did a great job considering the budget and the fact that it is far from scary or even cursed. It is difficult to believe that this is a Hallmark production; perhaps it was over edited. Rating: - The Curse of King Tut's Tomb This was an ok movie, not up to the other kinds of action movies like Raiders or The Mummy. Easy to watch, just not as exciting. Rating: - The Curse of King Tut's Tomb....Directed by Russell Mulcahy, The Curse of King Tut's Tomb tells the story of Danny Freemont who searches for the tomb of King Tut and the four pieces of an ancient tablet rumored to possess great occult powers. His academic rival, Morgan Sinclair, has stolen three of those four pieces from him on behalf of the Hellfire Council(a secret group of men who pan to use the tablets for world domination). What neither side realizes is that once the pieces have been rejoined, the tablet will open the portal ... Read More Rating: - great for kidsThis is one of those movies made to entice children and ease the minds of the parents. It has a known scary plot, scary premise, scary special effects (although they don't come into play until the last 30 minutes) and no bad language or gory scenes. All the makings of a child's scary movie. Except for the fact that it clocks in at 4 hours! I don't know many children with the patience to sit that long. If this were intended for adults, I would have given it one star. For children, I would chop ... Read More Rating: - A Good Historical Fantasy MovieHallmark produced this movie for television. It is set just prior to the historical discovery of King Tut's tomb. The movie is a mixture of Indiana Jones and pulp fiction. It has a slow start but really gets going during the second half. Overall this is a movie worth watching. Browse for similar items by category:
