Editorial Review:

Album Description:
Since shooting to stardom on the second season of American Idol, Clay Aiken, the Raleigh, NC, native with the powerhouse voice has become a international pop phenomenon who has sold six million albums. In addition, Aiken has launched eight live tours, made the New York Times best-seller list, and won several American Music and Billboard Music Awards. In January 2008, Aiken made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning musical Monty Python's Spamalot.

When Clay began the search for songs to record for Aiken's first album of original material since his 2003 chart-topping debut Measure of A Man, he fell in love with a song written by OneRepublic front man Ryan "Alias" Tedder called "On My Way Here." The message of the lyrics -- how the lessons we learn while growing up shape us into who we become as adults -- struck such a deep chord with Aiken that it wound up inspiring the theme (and title) of his new collection.

To musically represent the album's lyrical theme, Aiken and Foster enlisted Grammy-Award winning British songwriter and producer Kipper, who has worked with Sting, Chris Botti, and Julia Fordham.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Clay is great
I am a Clay fan and have bought his CD's before. I wasn't disappointed. This cd is enjoyable and relaxing.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - VERY DISAPPOINTED
I am a huge Clay Aiken fan and have loved him ever since American Idol. He sent shivers up and down my spine with his interpretations of BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER and DON'T LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON ME. He can take a song and put such emotion into it carressing every word and has a powerhouse range.

Where did that Clay go? I had such high hopes for this cd but I felt all the songs somewhat heartless and he doesn't use his voice to advantage. Perfect example of this is the song SOMETHING ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - My Most Played CD
This CD is Clay's best. He has grown as an artist and with this CD he shows his versatility. Clay can sing just about any kind of music. It is the only CD I have ever owned where I love every single song on it. I cannot even begin to pick a favorite. I do love the title track right from the first words, "I took my first step..." Every single song has wonderful lyrics and he sings them all so beautifully. I feel that some of these songs are destined to become classics--"Something About Us" comes to ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Go Get This CD
On My Way Here is an awesome CD. In my family we all have a favorite song on the CD. However, my favorite song on the CD is actually from the Bonus Track from Walmart. So you might want to get one from Amazon and then go pick up one for the car or something from Walmart. There are upbeat songs, timeless love songs, and just makes ya feel good songs. I can not recommend this CD enough.
