![]() Rating: - great camerawow - what a great camera. The features that I wanted was EASY to operate, point and shoot camera. That is exactly what I got. Just a great camera that fits in your hand, slides in a purse to go anywhere and be ready at all times to take great pic's of kids. It does use AA battaries but with 4 kids I keep a lot of those on hand. Also, I have been told that if I would use the lithium AA they would last longer. Really easy to put pic's on my computer and share them. I really like this camera!! Rating: - Great Entry Level Digital Camera - Tons of FeaturesExcellent entry level camera for your $. (Compare with Canon A590 IS before you buy) Pros: - 8 megapixel - Excellent image quality. It has Canon's Digic III image processor. - Canon Genuine Face Detection Technology. Read More Rating: - Great quality.I did a little research before buying a camera and when I saw the sample photos and videos shot with the A580 I didn't look further. This was all I needed. The photos are all clear and huge. I took a shot in complete darkness and it came out like I shot it at daylight. I really can't find a flaw to this camera. Even the price is excellent. One of the best things I ever bought. Rating: - great little cameraEasy to use, great pictures. Wish it came with carry case to protect it though Rating: - Buy one!We recently returned from a month long trip, my wife has a Canon A540 and I was using a Sony DSC700. There is no comparison in the quality of photo's between the two cameras...we both shot several hundred photo's...the Canon photo's won hands down! So I purchased a new Canon A580 and we both love it. Plus now the the SD cards can be used in either one...Sony uses a proprietary duo-card....Canons for us from here on out.
