It doesn't zoom as well as a more expensive camera, but I knew that when I purchased it. I just wanted a camera that was small enough to keep with me, and it takes beautiful pictures and videos. The videos are so crisp and clear that you feel you are there. The sound is better heard while replaying on the computer or tv, but again, that is not a problem.
