The less expensive models don't stay on the shoes as well, so we bought these to compare. These certainly stay on. In fact, they stay on so well that it creates a problem. I lost one of the regular Yaktrax and didn't even know it until it was too late. The Yaktrax are essential on icy walks to keep you from slip slidin' away--especially it you're being towed along by a dog or two.
