Editorial Review: Product Description: Installing Zurn Zone Valve Actuators on all of the circuits of the return header allows the user to group one or any combination of loops together into zones. To install the actuator you must first remove one of the white plastic caps on the return header. To remove the white plastic cap turn it counterclockwise until completely open, then use a flat ended screw driver to pry the cap up and off. Place the plastic fitting that comes with the actuator onto the return circuit that the plastic cap came off of by lining up the notch in the plastic fitting with the tab on the return circuit. Place the actuator on the plastic fitting and turn it one click. (Be sure to position the actuator so it will be straight after turning.) Next push in the red button located on the side of the actuator. This button must be pushed in for proper operation. (If the red button gets pushed in before the actuator is mounted don't try to pull it back out. The actuator will still be mounted properly.) Properly connect the Blue and Brown wires to the 24 volt power source. The Black and Gray wires are the end switch. The actuator may take up to ten minutes to open on initial start up.
