My girlfriend from Vera Cruz grew up with Vicente. The spanish is clear and precise and the instrumentals excellent. Rating: - Viva Mexico!I have been hearing his song "La Derrota" for a couple of weeks now and finally they said who the singer is and I wasn't surprised to hear that it was Vicente Fernandez. This song has to be one of the most powerful and passionate songs Vicente has ever sung. Every time that I listen to it, it reminds me of how beautiful and how wonderful Mexico is. His voice is still strong, the arrangements are just right, the lyrics are beautiful, and the songwriting is superb (thanks to Joan Sebastian). First ranchera album i've purchased in years.
