I bought the "dial" versus the remote version - your own bike's gears are the best resistance adjustment you can have! My set-up is a Trek 820 - Even though this rim driven unit doesn't care what tires you have, I changed the stock knobbies to Kenda Kross Plus Front/Rear Slick XC Tire, 26 x 1.95" (road bike manners w/ trail edges). ... It is amazingly quiet compared to the normal wheel drive trainers and the flywheel (set at 4 out of 5) in middle gears feels just like moderate outdoor riding. Read More Rating: - Bike TrainerThis product was very easy to set up taking just a few minutes, and is just as easy to disassemble when not in use. There are several levels of resistance making it great for beginners as well as the more seasoned rider. I used this product several times a week and have experienced no problems at all. Overall it is an excellent product at a reasonable price.
