Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great shots!
This camera takes incredible photos! It has an easy playback mode and gives crystal clear shots. One may have to use the manual when using the 'SCN' mode, but this is for advanced techniques when shooting at night, at the beach, etc. Also, the large screen on the back gives you a great view of your photos and the area you are shooting.

Anyway, I ditched my old camera for this one and haven't looked back!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love It - Great Value!
I was looking for a small point & shoot digital, and both my mother and my father own PowerShot cameras and have nothing but great things to say about them. I went back and forth between the SD870 and the SD850 and finally decided on the SD850 because it had the viewfinder. I don't use a viewfinder often, but it has come in handy in the past on my other digital camera.

I've been really happy with the SD850 - excellent pictures, easy to use for the most part, as I get used to where ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - my second 850
This is my second Canon 850 (my first one was accidently dropped into water) and I love it. The camera is so easy to use and fits in my pocket. I can carry it everywhere. The photos are fantastic.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Powershot is powerful and amazing
With over 300 reviews for this product, I am not going to rehash on what over 300 had said. I bought this camera for my wife who's previous camera died. To put it mildly, her cousin accidently hit it with her elbow and knocked it onto the concrete pavement. Both the camera and the memory card died. That was a HP 735 (2.3 Megapixels). I priced around and as always, I check Amazon. (Sadly they charge tax now because the New York State legislature wanted their hands in the cookie jar (honeypot) and earn ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Value Camera
The Canon PowerShot SD850 IS 8.0 MP Digital Elph Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom is a multi-featured camera far surpassing expectations for the price. Compact but powerful and the resulting photos are extremely sharp and color-true. The memory disc has too small a capacity, but that was easily remedied with the purchase of a more spacious disc on the aftermarket. Also, when purchasing this camera, I recommend that you purchase an accompanying travel case for it.
