![]() Rating: - absolute piece of junkI bought this water timer last month to handle critical watering of my garden while on vacation. It is difficult to be sure of correct setup as mentioned in other reviews, but I did verify operation before leaving on vacation. At some point, the timer completely quit working and no watering occurred at that point. Batteries were new, and all directions were followed. It is waste of money to buy this product. Worse, you can suffer damage to plants that did not get watered. Rating: - Valves don't shut completly I purchased a Vigoro two zone water timer identical in function and appearance to the Melnor and obviously manufactured by the same company. I was using one side to water potted plants for 3 minutes a day. I had to exchange the timer for another unit because the valve never shut off completely and the pots flooded. the second unit appears to be working properly but with no indicators and the full cycle delay there is no easy way to know for sure Rating: - Item seems to miss watering schedulesI bought two of these at a local store to regulate my lawn watering. I liked the idea that the one unit could control two schedules independently, and that the unit also served as a Y-splitter so I didn't have to buy one of those. But it seemed to only hit one or two waterings before it would miss the next one. This happened more than once, and I was never really able to trust it to do the job. Rating: - Annoying start time delayMy main complaint about this timer is that it waits for the wait interval to expire before turning on for the first time. IOW, if you set it to come on every 24 hours for 30 minutes, it will wait 24 hours before turning itself on the first time. I would have expected it to turn on immediately, then delay before turning on again. Other than that, it does what it's supposed to. Rating: - Works GreatPlease read, the timer I have is the Model R682C Raindrip two zone water timer BUT the Melnor two zone timer looks exactly the same, everything down to the battery indicator located on the bottom center of each unit. MY guess is that one of the companies took over manufacturing this unit from the other. The only difference is the name of the brand. Now to the timer itself. It works like it should, what more can be said. People say that break, will it will if you don't take care of it. It's only ... Read More Browse for similar items by category:
