We hoped that the Citronella approach would work - it did for the first few times, but after that the dogjust accepted the spray. There are better products (petsafe collar has been very successful.) Don't waste tyour $ on citronella. Rating: - Gentle Spray Citronella Great stuff. My dog doesn't like it, but isn't freaked out either. He stops his bad behavior right away and usually I only have to use the sound tone on the collar control unit rather than the spray because the spray sends such an effective message to him.
