Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
For this Nancy Meyers-directed romantic comedy, Hans Zimmer serves up a breezy score quite different from the more heavy-duty works he's become known for. This may have something to do with the film's tone, of course, but also with the fact that Zimmer has sole credit on only two cues, having co-written the others with members of his extensive stable of helpers, including guitarist Heitor Pereira and even pop artist Imogen Heap (who also contributes wordless vocals in addition to getting writing credits on three tracks). In the film, Jack Black's character is a composer who namedrops Ennio Morricone; Zimmer steps up to the challenge with the opening track, "Maestro" (one of his solo compositions), which evidently seeks to emulate the romantic sweep of some of Morricone's scores and nearly succeeds. (This may sound like a criticism but getting near Morricone level is nothing to sneeze at.) A little later "Verso e Prosa," a collaboration between Pereira and Herb Alpert--who contributes his immediately identifiable trumpet--also stands out. If the rest of the CD had shown as much spirited zest as these two tracks, the album could have become a prized addition to any soundtrack lover's library; alas, the other cues are too devoid of personality to make a lasting impression. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - great evening
When I want to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate or tea and a movie, this is the one. How can you not enjoy these wonderful characters. The lines are great and should be listened to carefully. Heartily recommended for a nice evening.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love the music
The Holiday Sound Track by Hans Zimmer is wonderful, soothing music. I love to put it in when driving home in traffic from work. The shipping was very fast and it was packed well. I would buy again from this company.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Holiday Soundtrack
The Holiday is one of my wife's favorite movies. She loved the music so much, she asked me to buy her the soundtrack. Beautifully composed music that makes one feel they are on a magical holiday in England or California.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Holiday music track
The music from The Holiday was better than I expected. It doesn't play all the songs from the movie such as Winter Wonderland or You Send Me.It has the music composed by Hans Zimmer. If you loved the movie, the minute this music starts you will be able to visualise each scene. It's great to listen to this album as background music when you need to relax.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Holiday SoundTrack Lacks Songs
So disappointed, they didn't have the song Just for Now or any other captivating songs from the movie. It's very deceptive. I should have read the reviews before buying but this was the first time I had this happen.... BE on guard!!! You won't get the actual SOUNDTRACK, just background music from the movie. There were songs that Cameron Diaz sang along with and then the song that Kate Winnslet (sp) woke up to, but you won't find it on this CD. You also won't find the song "Darling You send me" they ...
