It is securely fitted with a velcro chinstrap and a lace-up closure in the back. Headgear should fit tightly, yet comfortably. To determine the correct size, measure the circumference of the head just above the ears with a measuring tape.

This is nice headgear because it has a lace-up part in the back to snugly fit it to your head. The only real complaint is that the chinstrap (and loop-hole for the chin strap) seem a bit flimsy. I think a stray finger in a ruck could tear it if pulled hard enough. There is no problem hearing people through the ear holes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it.
