 Rating: - Good Value for PriceEither my oven is perfectly calibrated and this thermometer is dead-on accurate, or by exquisitely unlikely conicidence, they are both equally off. It is easy to read and you can hang it off a rack. The only part I do not like is that because the base has a cut-in, (the purpose of which I have not figured out -no mention in package materials), it is hard to set it on a rack without having it fall over, on its own, or when you move the rack. It proved to be quite accurate and gave repeated accurate and consistent readings. I discovered by using this thermometer that when I set my oven thermostat at 350 F, it actually settles at 375 F! I am able now able to readjust my thermostat setting and verify my desired temperature from its readings. It is a sturdy item but not made in France as I expected. It is made in China.
