The product was recommended to me a number of years ago, and due to the number of operating system automatic updates and the limited size of my C drive, it became a neccessity. Rating: - Description is WRONG -- Product is for Windows XP/2000/NT etc. not VISTA-- BewareThe product description is incorrect. It does not say Vista on the Box. I checked Symantec's website -- the product is for Windows XP / 2000 / ME / 98 etc. If you use it with Vista, you can screw up your configuration. Rating: - Another Norton product............So I purchased this product used and the price was right. It's a very easy to use product as it makes partitioning your drives as easy as 1-2-3. I am a novice computer user and so I feel that if you are knowledgeable enough to know how this product works, then obviously you probably won't have a single problem using this software. Read More Rating: - Symantec/Norton Partition Magic 8.0The Windows version rruns very nicely. Dos version can get a little messy. No more formatting to resize a hard disk. The Windows Disk map takes you through the procedure step by step. Highly recommend for the intermediate and above users. Rating: - IndispensableLike a lot of semi-geeks I like to experiment with various versions("distros")of Linux all of which require separate partitions and usually a "swap file", assuming you're using a dual boot system. PM makes this an easy exercise as partitions can be created and deleted effortlessly.
