I'm close to 40, have 3 kids, and we've just bought a new house, so I can tell you, there's a very long list of furniture I've assembled. The wood is very flimsy and the metal parts strip with the greatest of ease (no power tools used). Perhaps this is just my own stupidity, since it clearly says "Expresso," but it came up in a search for "black bookcase" and it appeared black in the picture. The five-shelf bookcase was much more difficult to put together: it took several hours to assemble, and the directions weren't especially helpful. The biggest problem was that one of the pieces didn't have any pre-drilled holes where there were SUPPOSED to be holes.
