Editorial Review: Album Description: There'd be no Nirvana, Beastie Boys, or Red Hot Chili Peppers were it not for hardcore pioneers such as Black Flag, Bad Brains, and Minor Threat. Hardcore was more than music; it was a social movement created by Reagan-era misfit kids. Featuring twenty-six definitive tracks, this is the audio companion to the feature-length documentary, released by Sony Pictures Classics in September 2006. Artists include Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Circle Jerks, Cro-Mags, Adolescents, Die Kreuzen, Flipper, Gang Green, Negative Approach, DOA, MDC, DRI, and more. Average Rating:

If you like punk or want to get in touch with the punk movement of the 80s in the US this is for you. Rating: - rocksis the music on the sampler the right music i just don't soud like the right bands Rating: - Good Hardcore Comp.My guess is that Glenn Danzig didn't grant them permission to use his songs on the compilation. Could be the same with Jello and DK. Lord knows if they presented every great tune from that era it would be a box set. Good songs on this one none-the-less. Rating: - wrong audio clipsif you try to play the clips- obviously they're the wrong ones. flipper's hahaha song does not actually sound like vivaldi. i'm buying this album just for hahaha by flipper. the rest is a lot of noise.
