Developing close friendships and nurturing a positive self esteem are two major challenges along the road to growing up. In this Disney sequel to The Fox and the Hound, Tod (a young fox voiced by Jonah Bobo) and Copper (a bloodhound voiced by Harrison Fahn) are the best of friends. When Copper bemoans the fact that he can't seem to do anything right, Tod reassures him that eventually he'll find something at which he excels and invites him to the fair. Opportunity knocks when a vocal dog group called "The Singing Strays" looses its lead singer Dixie (voiced by Reba McEntire) and Copper discovers that he's a really good singer. Unfortunately, Copper's newly discovered fame leaves Tod feeling jealous and abandoned and threatens to destroy the pair's close friendship. Will a close examination of what's really important in life be enough to set things right between Tod and Copper? This engaging, 69-minute animated Disney movie features original music performed by Grammy-winning country music star Reba McEntire as well as the voice talents of Patrick Swayze and Jeff Foxworthy. Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - One of the WORST Disney sequals ever made
Not only is this one of those Disney sequals that takes characters from a previous movie that grew up and puts them back to a baby/child stage but it was completely unbearable. the plot of this movie focuses on Todd and Copper's friendship being strained because Copper wants to join a country band. Since it was so long ago all the voices are different, the other characters from the old one like the owl and the birds and catipiller do not appear in this movie and the new characters are flat out obnoxious. ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great family movie
This is overall a great family movie that appeals to both the young and old. I purchased the movie more so for my husband and I than the kids due to sentimental reasons!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A Great Mid-quel!
This is NOT a sequel to the Fox and the Hound, rather this is a story that takes place somewhere in the middle of that movie.
Tod and Copper stumble upon a country fair in their quaint country town and through a matter of circumstance, Copper ends up being a "star" of the Singin Strays singing dog group. This leads to turmoil within the band, as one of their own talented divas gets ousted in favor of the newcomer, as well as Tod becomes depressed as he gets pushed to the background as Copper rises ...
