Editorial Review:

Description:
Stars Douglas Henshall, Emily Woof and Gerard Butler. Shot in 16mm, this kinetically charged indie is highlighted by an early screen appearance of sexy, young Gerard Butler. Fast Food is an offbeat story of a simple man on a collision course with his past. Benny (Douglas Henshall) is back. He’s come home to visit the friends he knew, to find the girl he once loved and become the man he might have been. In the years he’s been gone things have changed quite a bit. His boyhood friends Zac (Robert Donovan), Jacko (Gerard Butler), Bisto (Danny Midwinter) and Flea (Stephen Lord) are now big talking, wannabe criminals who spend their days playing cards, arguing about the Royal Family and eating repellent fast food. But they’ve also been plotting to rob a local mobster’s safe. And that robbery has come to include Benny.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fast Food
if you are a fan of foreign films, "Fast Food" is a must have movie for your collection!...initially my reason for purchasing this film was to further study the early filmography of Gerard Butler...lol...ok...and to see the infamous leopard print briefs...lol...but from start to finish, everyone's performance is believably outstanding!...the actors play off each other well and are very credible as they pull you into their plight and take you on a rollercoaster ride of missed opportunities that eventually ... Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I See Leopard Spots
I purchased this film in an effort to complete my collection of Gerard Butler's films. This indie British gangster tale of four friends who decide to rob a candy store on the occasion of a fifth friend's 30th birthday has more twists than I can even try to describe. I will say this: if you're a Gerry fan, it's worth buying just to see him as a young man, trotting around in leopard-spotted undies. Dialogue may be difficult to follow for some, due to thick Glaswegian accents on the part of the cast.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Long live Prince Charlie
This is a quirky, kinky, at times very funny low-budget indie that is most interesting now as being an early film of Gerard Butler. I gave it four stars for the four friends endless arguments and discussions. The whole film is - well - OK but I love it when 'the boys' are plotting and planning. There is a good deal of profanity and some nudity so if that kind of thing puts you off, be warned. Otherwise, enjoy the evaluation of the royal family, Elvis, career planning (in gangstermania) and other topics ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - This IS the Gerard Butler film
Don't be fooled by the other Fast Food DVD. Order this one if you want to see Gerard Butler. The movie is average along the lines of Shooters (thus the 3 stars) but Gerry is a very charming "bad boy" in this one.
