The hard anodized aluminum is perfect for fast and even heating, ideal for frying chicken, French fries, egg rolls and fish. Can also be used as a pot for cooking soup or rice when not being used as a deep fryer. The deep fryer includes a wire basket with a side hook to rest the basket on the side of the pot, so that excess oil can drain back into the pot. The mesh lid keeps hot oil from splattering onto your cooking range. Easy to clean by hand washing with warm water and soap. (Hard anodized aluminum should not be put in the dishwasher.)  Rating: - Deep FryerThis was a wonderful deal- product was more than expected- great product! Have used it several times already and it works great and cleans up perfectly. Received the shipment in a very timely manner and the boxes and product were in perfect shape. Rating: - great producti recieved this fryer and couldnt wait to use it. I have it on my stove top right now. Rating: - nice form and functionsThe pot is solid and the handle is very sturdy, everything appear to be a good quality built. I don't use the wire basket so do not know if it performs ok or not. The conical shape of the pot is excellent for maximum heat transfer and the material is good for heat retention. The inner side wall is high (deep?) enough to reduce oil splash--having the lid also further this cause. The vented lid is an excellent idea for minimizing condensation--it worked! Finally, the handles ... Read More Rating:  - Good product, well built.Only one down-side I notice. The pour-spouts on the sides are not sufficiently pronounced to avoid spilling when pouring oil out. Otherwise the product is perfect for my purpose. P.S.
