Packed with stars, including Ben Affleck, Chris Rock, Jason Lee, and more, the hilarious conclusion of Jay and Silent Bob's story is big entertainment that looks and sounds even better in Blu-ray's revolutionary new format. When best buddies Jay and Silent Bob discover that a major motion picture is being based on their likenesses, the dopey duo head for Hollywood to claim the movie money they deserve. Watch all the hysterical action in stunning 1080p, and enjoy the film's hot soundtrack in 5.1 48 kHz, 16-bit uncompressed audio. See, hear, and feel the excitement with Blu-ray high definition. Amazon.com: With sidesplitting dialogue and rampant profanity, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back reunites Kevin Smith's dynamic duo in supreme lowbrow style. It's the fifth comedy in Smith's celebrated New Jersey "trilogy." Here Quick-Stop potheads Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith) wreak vengeance on Hollywood, where Miramax is making a "Bluntman & Chronic" feature inspired by J. and S.B., but without their permission. En route from Jersey to La La Land, Jay and his "hetero life mate" encounter sexy jewel thieves (including the delightful Shannon Elizabeth), a precocious orangutan, a dimwit wildlife marshal (Will Ferrell), and a nonstop parade of in-jokes, harmless (yet controversial) gay jokes, and splendid celebrity cameos. While gently biting the Miramax hand that feeds him, and paying affectionate homage to the Star Wars saga, Smith sheds all inhibitions to give Jay and Silent Bob a stellar sendoff that's nasty, sassy, and undeniably hilarious. --Jeff Shannon Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - By far not the best Kevin Smith film, but still a great time...It's been a long time since I've seen this film and to be honest had I not recently bought a Blu-ray it may have been an even longer time...but I like Kevin Smith. And I wanted to support the guy. And add to my collection. And you know what? I'm glad I did. This is a great price for what stands up to be a pretty funny flick -- and even though it's not loaded with extras the commentary was worth the pricetag for me. I just love hearing the dude pal around with Mosier and Mewes etc...Is this the best ... Read More Rating: - The Second To Last Film In The View Askew SeriesJASBSB is a great film. Not just because it's laugh out loud funny but because Kevin Smith has made Jay and Bob still fresh after seven years. The duo is in their best film yet and their's all the usual trade marks. A very great end to a leagcy. Rating: - awesomeI think this movie is great. I've already watched it a couple of times and i don't get bored with it. The stupid humor is hilarious. I would reccomend this to anyone who is a diehard fan of Jay and Silent Bob. Rating: - Whillenholly: I don't get out to the movies that much, but "Bluntman and Chronic" was blunt-tastic. Talk about self-referential, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is just about the most self-referential piece of cinema or pop culture since the theme song for The Monkees. The View Askew universe, or the 'viewaskewniverse' is nothing but a collection of inside jokes, with celebrity cameos galore that are not only self-referential, but self-parodies. Just when I thought it couldn't get any dumber, I just gave in and went with it, and was actually entertained as a result. I think it was when ... Read More Rating: - This is American culture?Jay and Silent Bob, just an attempt to recreate Cheech and Chong (a couple of Hippie stoners) for a new generation. This movie was totally offensive. All those things your parents told you not to do? They do it. Profanity, irresponsibility, dealing drugs, sex and dysfunctional relationships... What's the big deal? The big deal is that this movie represents a new "low" in American comedy. In fact, it is a 'poster child' for a new low in American culture. I would just like to mention to anyone outside the ...
