The set-up this time is even more preposterous than before, as a rough-and-tumble cop named Eric (Donnie Whalberg, Band of Brothers) watches, on video monitors, his son trapped in a house filled with nerve gas and a handful of other victims, all of whom are mysteriously connected. Eric has captured Jigsaw, but the implacable killer refuses to reveal where the cop's son is being held... unless Eric will play by Jigsaw's rules. Fans of Saw will love Saw II, as the tortures are more gruesome than before; viewers who found Saw either detestable or laughable won't like Saw II either, as the characters rarely behave like actual people (even when a moment's explanation would solve a conflict, no one bothers to communicate, even though their lives are on the line).  Rating:  - Great follow up to saw 1This movie is interesting in that it is kind of the odd man out in the Saw series. I mean that in a positive way because the "layout" of the movie is a little different than some of the others (and is somewhat similar to Saw V). Although this is my least favorite of the series, that should not be taken as a negative about this movie, it still delivers all of the material Saw fans have come to expect. Additionally, blu-ray is awesome. Rating:  - First 3 Saws are the bestThey all have awsome traps and a well thought out story. I love the 2nd one b.c of the traps and what all goes on in it. They all are great movies! Rating: - Like a merry-go-round of brilliant, twisted horror!Following where the original started, "Saw 2" is an excellent follow-up to the smash hit that started the franchise. And like the original, this movie manages to blend its police-story crime elements with the suspense of a thriller and the tension and graphic content of horror. By now, Jigsaw is taken into custody and being interviewed by the police, all while a new group of his victims are locked in a house and must find a way out before time runs out and they meet their death. There are a quite a few very effective setpieces and some really twisted games involving some truly unpleasant characters. It's a worthy sequel and worth watching for any horror fan. After bailing his son out, Detective Eric Matthews finds out where Jigsaw is hiding, but for Jigsaw, getting caught is part of the game. Eight people are trapped in a house. Included in the game are Amanda from the original, Eric's son; Daniel, Xavier, Obi, Gus, Laura, Addison, and Jonas. They all must find an antidote for the poison gas they are breathing.
