Editorial Review: Description: Since Dark Shadows first aired on ABC-TV from 1966-1971, the Gothic supernatural series has established itself as a unique and enduring television classic. The character of Barnabas Collins, a guilt-ridden, 175-year-old vampire, brought the show tremendous success. This special release offers a variety of rare and unusual material. Bloopers: Like other daytime dramas of its period, Dark Shadows was produced live in sequence, without stopping to correct any mistakes. This was before modern videotape editing, so the "bloopers" featured here were all part of the shows as broadcast. You'll see actors forget lines, crew members walk on camera, sets fall apart and dozens of other hilarious mishaps -- plus outtakes. Treasures: The haunting and melodic Dark Shadows score, composed by Robert Cobert, became a Top 20 album in 1969. Dark Shadows Music Videos combine episode clips with the most popular tunes, such as the Grammy®-nominated hit "Quentin's Theme (Shadows of the Night)." Dark Shadows In Salem finds Lara Parker (Angelique the witch), on location in Massachusetts, recalling where the actual witch trials took place. Also included is long-lost footage of Dark Shadows actors appearing on game shows, promotional spots with Jonathan Frid (Barnabas the vampire) and much more. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - fun and great funif you are a dark shadows fan you will enjoy this dvd it has a lot of the great mistakes & blooper that make it fun and realise how hard it was for the crew on dark shadow to do a daily tv show Rating: - Glad I only rented itI got it on Netflix. It is a total waste of time. Had I paid for it, I'd have to kill now. Who calls slating a scene an outtake? Who calls flubbing a line, with no humor at all, a blooper? Add a few droll appearances on game shows, and other garbage. Rating: - dark shadows blooerps and treasuresi just love the dvd and to see them mess up on the show as it is air is priceless. if i was you buy buy buy buy buy buy. Rating: - BloopersThis tape is only for hardcore DS fans. No narrations involved to set up the bloopers. They didn't appear to have much of a budget, so when an actor blooped, they just kept on going. Some of the bloopers are really funny though. Like the tombstones in the graveyard. Every time someone brushed past them, they would wobble around. lol Rating: - Great for a laughI grew up watching Dark Shadows and as a kid I never noticed the Bloopers. When I got this DVD I watched it with my sister who also was a Dark Shadows fan and we laughed our heads off. If you love Dark Shadows or if you just like good bloopers you will love this dvd. My favorite part is where the character Barnabas Collins can't get rid of a fly that is on his nose! Lots of fun and brings back lots of good memories. Browse for similar items by category:
