I saw it on network TV when it first aired and for many years had the movie on VHS (I had taped it). The story is very tender, sometimes difficult to watch because of the emotions. Rating: - A Wonderful Movie!I was thrilled to discover this movie had finally been released on DVD. I discovered the DVD release by accident and I ordered it right away. I saw the movie on television sometime ago and loved it. What a heart-warming film and Jean Smart was great in her portrayal of a mentally retarded (slow) mother fighting the welfare agency to keep her children when the agency thinks she isn't capable to raise them due to her condition. Do see it if you get the chance. You won't be sorry! Browse for similar items by category:
