I only need to use the flat iron for touch ups which helps cut down tremednously on breakage. I haven't noticed it drying my hair that much quicker but its definately less frizzy and feels somewhat softer. I generally use the lower heat setting b/c the high heat is really hot! If you're wearing earrings or a necklace while blowdrying they will start burning your skin.
