I don't like to spend money on myself...my kids always come first. So this was a splurge for me last May. I can only say, it's the best $350 I've ever spent on anything. The kindle has become my constant companion, I read more and MUCH faster...and I was no slouch before. The idea of reading a traditional book has now no longer appealing. The kindle is easy on the eyes, it allows me to read whatever I want, where ever I want, it doesn't blow shut in the wind, and I can read it at soccer practice ... Read More

My wife is an avid Reader. I got this for her about a month ago, and she has just finished reading another book. Unlike paper books, she says there is no hand strain holding open the book, and most important of all, no eye strain on the Kindle. She LOVES this thing. The price of the books are all less than Ten Dollars, and they down load before you can get up for a cup of coffee. Great, Great, Great!

I love my kindle. It's been a great conversation piece being I do not go anywhere without it. I browse the book stores then log on to Kindle Store to compare prices on books I want to read and can download over a latte in the bookstore coffee shop. This is the greatest gift I have ever purchased for myself. I wish that amazon would offer a special sale or discount to make it a more affordable Christmas gift for my family. The Kindle is very user friendly.

Being able to purchase and read a book in under a minute is about the
greatest thing to come along in a long time. I love it! I have two
negative things to say. I wish the covers of the books were in color.
Also I find some my favorite authors do not have Kindle versions.
