Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This Rocks!
This handmixer is just perfect for us. I recently started taking a powder supplement, that doesn't mix well with liquid. This mixer will blend it in to juice or a smoothie. No matter how frozen the fruit is, this little mixer seems to plow through it. I've recently used it to make shakes for the kids. Works better than my blender. The only drawback is the cup that comes with it is the only thing it fits. I can't blend in one of my own glasses. I do love the way the mixer comes unattached ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Great, but non-reparable
I got the SmartStick and it was great for all my soups, smoothies, and sauces, but one day, I thought I had clicked the motor half into the blade half, but apparently it wasn't in well enough because it completely stripped the plastic bit in the motor half. When I called an appliance repair shop, they told me that they do not make a repair piece because it was made in China. SO I had to pitch the whole thing as it was now useless. My advice, make sure to really connect the two pieces without any ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fun, powerful, easy
With a standard blender, it's almost more trouble to get out than it's worth. For a smoothie, you have to get it out, put it together, then take it back apart and put the pitcher, etc, in the washing machine. This baby stores in a drawer, snaps together, gives a powerful blending that crunches through ice or whatever you throw at it, then snaps back apart. The handle goes back in the drawer and the blade goes in the washer. Why did I wait so long?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - powerful, durable and useful - great price/value
I first bought one in 2006, to make smoothies, and it has been working fine ever since. We make smoothies about 5 times a week, and it blends through frozen mixed berries with no problems at all. Clean up is easy, as the motorized top easily detaches from the blender blade. The blender cup is a convenient measuring cup, after 2 years it is getting a bit scratched, but the blender is still going strong. Recently gave one as a gift -- was a big hit. It is one of the most useful kitchen gadget ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - I loved it, until it broke.
I had this for about 2 months. In that time it was great! I used it to make shakes just about every morning. If that had continued I'd easily give it 5 stars. Unfortunately it didn't. A little plastic piece sheared off. I did use things like frozen fruit in it, but their own recipes use ice so I figured that wouldn't be a problem. But, that was apparently too much for it.

It was still under warranty, but they request $10 for return shipping. Which in addition to the estimated ... Read More
