Once recorded, DVD-R discs can be played back in most DVD-ROM drives and DVD-Video players. TDK DVD-R discs incorporate a number of key technologies that make them compatible with the widest range of DVD drives and players. DVD-R discs use a specially developed formulation using the company's MSi metal-stabilized cyanine dye recording layer. Proprietary mastering and replication technologies achieve the ultra-narrow groove structure, precision substrate bonding and other exacting parameters that assure excellent performance and reliability.  Rating: - GREAT PRICE FOR A GOOD PRODUCTI have used these DVD+R blanks for 2 weeks now and so far all blanks have recorded my projects without any problems or deffective disks. 100 discs is a lot to go through - I hope all disks are of the same good quality by the end of the spindle! I am really pleased and truly recommend this brand. A really great item for the price. Thank you again Amazon! Rating:  - Great Blank DVDsI have been using this brand for years, and have made very few coasters. It is very reliable, and burns at max speed. Rating:  - Defective3/4 of these disks ended up being defective. I won't buy TDK again. Look elsewhere. Rating: - Many defective DiscsThis had a really good price when I bought it ($23.99 April-2008), but the quality was very bad. When I try to burn a DVD I hear a weird noise, after this the DVD frozes my system (there is a chance <50% that it will continue burning). First, I thought that my DVD drive broke, but when I used other brand DVDs I did not hear any noise, neither have any problem. Surely the worst DVDs I ever bought and the most expensive $/useful disk. I tried different burning software, but I had the same response. Rating:  - Watch out for shipping chargesIt appears that Amazon is no longer directly stocking these DVDs.
