Editorial Review: Product Description: High Quality Versatile Headphones / Self-adjusting Headband / Frequency response 16Hz-22kHz / Optimized for Digital Quality Sound Warranty 1 year Amazon.com Product Description: The Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones are a great pair of headphones that deliver high-quality sound at an affordable price. With 40 millimeter diameter, dome-type driver units and long-stroke diaphragms, your music will sound great. The MDR-XD200 driver units reproduce surprisingly-clear sounds at a wide frequency range (10-22,000 Hz). These substantial headphones feature neodymium magnets for greater power handling and higher frequencies. Five times more powerful than standard earphone ferrite magnets of the same size, neodymium magnets mean that the Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones maximize energy, while keeping size to a minimum. With these advanced technological features, the MDR-XD200 provides great sound without placing too much strain on your pocketbook. With the MDR-XD200 Sony has taken special care to please both the audiophile and cinema-geek. The MDR-XD200 features a sound mode switch (music or movie) to more adequately match the sound source. With a simple flip of a switch, you can focus the headphones' frequency range to make your music come to life or bring you that much closer to your favorite film star. Of course, Sony has not scrimped on comfort. The Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones feature an ear-conscious design with soft earpads for your long-lasting listening comfort. ![]() Rating: - Tangled wires are the only set back.Usually when you think of versatility and flexibility for headphones you think of free movement. I'm not talking about wireless personal headphones, Long wires is what I'm hinting at. Aside from the nimble, frail, and long rubbery wires the Sony MDR-XD200 is a "perfect fit". I listen to alot of hard metal and I must say the TREBLE on these puppies works well with Cymbal work and Solos. Aside from blaring metal on these Sony phones I use them for PC gaming and for my PSP. The last real ... Read More Rating: - Expected much better...Well.. I saw someone having these, and I fell in love with the design and etc... I ordered them, and found that they are uncomfortable to wear, your heads needs be like a square to be able to put them on properly, and when you put them on your head looks like a square... Also... when you listen to music/watching videos, the sound is good but when you stop there is like some sound waves that you hear from the headphones, but the music is off... and that's really annoying... maybe I got ... Read More Rating: - Great sound!I'm not an audiophile, but I find the MDR-XD200 to be a great set of headphones for the price. I also have a set of Etymotic Research 6i ear buds, which also sound amazing, and the MDR-XD200 headphones sound just as good. I mainly listen to music with them. Rating: - My son likes it!We bought the headphones for our 6 years old son. He loves them. They are light, the sound is good. It's good product for this money. Rating: - OK For The PriceThese headphones are probably the least I would pay for home stereo use. The reproduce the full frequency range, but naturally they don't have the imaging that higher priced Sony's do. My only real complaint other than that is the bass response isn't as full as you might expect. That and the fact that at least the pair I have physically squeak when I wear them on my head. Your mileage may vary:-) See my review of Behringer headphones for a lower price and better sound. Browse for similar items by category:
