Each pattern and technique offered in this magazine is complete with concise directions, often including pictures and diagrams. This magazine is well worth buying and even subscribing to. I am a beginning quilter and sometimes I am overwhelmed by some of the more "art" quilting mags. McCall's staff explain projects and techniques simply and often provide pattern pieces with the price of the magazine.
