DVD Features -- Repeat play -- Language tracks (Spanish, French and English) -- Discovery cards -- Puppet shows -- Toy chest Amazon.com: Classical music has been scientifically proven to encourage cognitive development in young children. Baby Beethoven, a 29-minute Baby Einstein production, presents excerpts from five of the composer's most famous symphonies, as well as incidental music, in a child-friendly, sensory-rich format. Familiar Beethoven themes like the Ode to Joy from his Ninth Symphony are playfully rendered on electric piano and accompanied by colorful images of toys in action, puppetry, and babies at play. The musical excerpts are relatively short and the imagery is quick-paced and varied enough to grab the limited attention span of viewers age 1 to 36 months. Unlike previous Baby Einstein presentations, each symphonic excerpt (though not the incidental music) is labeled--a feature that encourages further exploration of favorite pieces. Baby Beethoven is an aural and visual feast that promotes creativity, mental awareness, and an appreciation for classical music in infants, toddlers, and their parents. --Tami Horiuchi Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - GREAT DVD FOR THE LITTLE ONES!I didn't have much faith that these videos would actually capture the interest my four month old. I was SO wrong. It really grabs his attention and, I hate to say it, allows me at least 27 minutes to get myself ready for the day (or type this review!). My only problem with the video is the advertising at the beginning (about 4 to 5 minutes worth). Advertisements should be left until the very end, NOT the beginning when you just want to pop it in and have your child sit to watch it. ... Read More Rating: - AWESOME DVDI got this DVD as a gift at one of my baby showers and my son watches it over and over and over again. He gets very excited: so he giggles and laughs! Its hysterical to watch my son. He tries to wiggle and dance with the music and sometimes he rolls around too! (8/9mo now) Rating: - Tis never too early!I love these products for babies -- the music is soothing, babies are soaking up culture and by the time they are 3 months old, they are also watching the videos on the TV that go with the music, thereby learning more! Terrific baby shower gifts, also! Rating: - Simplistic, good for entertaining childI am not an advocate of parking a child of any age in front of the television. However, there are just those times where nothing else is working and you have to get a shower, cook dinner, take a breather...you know the drill if you are a parent. This dvd is good for that purpose. It has lots of motion, colors and contrasts that attract the attention of an infant+. My 4 month old enjoys watching it, and already has his favorite portions. However, he bores quickly and I think has already figured ... Read More Rating: - Great video! My son has the entire Baby Einstein collection and LOVES them. I highly recommend purchasing "Baby Mozart" and "Baby Beethoven" first. He started watching these at four months. Now, he is two and enjoys the more advanced ones much better, but this one was a life saver the first year. As far as the reviewer who said do yourself a favor and buy a camcorder . . . sure, these videos are simplistic and maybe that person could have made a better DVD in their basement, but they didn't, and the maker of Baby ...
