Amazon.com:
Darren (Jason Biggs of American Pie) is convinced that he'll never know love, since his one true love moved away during high school. To cheer him up, Darren's best friends Wayne (Steve Zahn, Out of Sight, That Thing You Do) and J.D. (Jack Black, High Fidelity) hook him up with Judith (Amanda Peet, The Whole Nine Yards)--little suspecting that Judith will tear their friendship apart. Judith wastes no time in taking over Darren's life, exiling his friends, and burning his beloved Neil Diamond records. If only Wayne and J.D. can bring Darren back together with his high school sweetheart (Amanda Detmer), who's about to become a nun. Saving Silverman is unquestionably of the There's Something About Mary school of comedy, throwing together absurd characters and over-the-top gags (for example, a scene of Darren getting butt implants, per Judith's orders). It doesn't quite balance everything, but Black and Zahn are engaging comic talents. Also featuring R. Lee Ermey as the boy's deranged high school football coach, whose advice continues to guide their lives, as well as a surprise appearance by Neil Diamond himself. --Bret Fetzer

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - So dumb.
Saving Silverman is just horrible! The only actor that is good in this garbage is Amanda Peet, she is crazy and likeable even when she's playing a bi$%h. Jason Biggs continues to play a dunce and Jack Black over does it as usual. Steve Zahn is pretty good but you expect him to play a doofus. This movie is lame and pointless, don't see it!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - SILLY & FUNNY IF YOU LIKE THE CAST!
I have always been a fan of Jack Black and I have liked Steve Zahn in all the films I've seen him in. This goofy comedy has many funny moments, so if you like the cast it's worth checking out. The R rated version isn't all that much different, but in these types of comedy the raunchier the better!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - You will laugh your a** off!
One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I have watched this over and over, and anytime I have friends over who want to watch a funny movie, this is the one we watch. It's so stupid you just can't stand it, and you will laugh and laugh and laugh - and then you will order Neil Diamond's greatest hits!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - The only good thing is the extra nudity, that's it... Otherwise this is just not funny!
Actually, my girlfriend is similar to the bit*h in this movie. All my friends are gone and I am whipped. It happens to ugly people like myself who could never find a "long-term" bed mate and have low self esteem.
Oh, and about this movie, it is a true stinker. Very unbelievable plot. Unfunny guest appearance by Neil Diamond. I hate frail attempts at comedy using animals attacking. Like the stupid "ha, ha, a racoon attacks Steve Zahn after he thought the creature was cute and gentle". It's ... Read More
