![]() Rating: - A beautiful, songful performanceMr. Nalbandian claims that Keith Jarrett is "No Gould". How true!, and how wonderful. I'm a big admirer of the Gould interpretations, but the wonderful thing about Bach is how the music transcends interpretation. Gould gives us startling, percussive performances (on a percussions instrument). But if you look at Bach from a different angle, you find another world. They're both right; enjoy them both! Rating: - Superb: an exquisite interpretation of a great masterKeith Jarrett is incredibly gifted both as a painist and as a harpsichordist. That he chose the harpsichord for his rendition of the Golberg Variations suggests that he found it capable of rendering a closer approximation of his ideal interpretation of these works. Hearing it is indeed a great joy! Browse for similar items by category:
