The film that answers the immortal question: what species is Gonzo? Kermit the Frog's curly-nosed friend feels alone in the world. When his breakfast cereal starts spelling out questions and he hears voices, Gonzo is convinced he must be from outer space, and his alien brothers are coming to earth. Of course, there are evil scientists (led by Jeffrey Tambor) who kidnap Gonzo to learn his secrets (like "What do you do with a nose like that?"). The usual brand of merriment from the gang is in good order, especially in the opening scene when the Muppets start the morning under one roof. It's not as memorable as earlier films, but nevertheless the joy and sly humor will warm most souls age 5 and up. Human cameos include Ray Liotta, Rob Schneider, Josh Charles, Andie MacDowell, David Arquette, and F. Murray Abraham (as Noah, no less). --Doug Thomas

The dvd arrived quickly and as described. New in sealed wrapping. I would highly recommend this seller!
Thanks!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Muppets go Modern
Although not as good as the classic muppet movies, this movie still is enjoyable. Brain Henson has taken his father's muppets into the modern day-with space ships, roommates and popular music. In DVD the quality can't be beat! The story is fun and original and focuses on the ever allusive orgin of our favorite weird muppet, Gonzo. It's great for a family movie night and has laughs for everyone in the family!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - An alien?
I rally did like this move, I love the Muppets but, I was very surprised that they said Gonzo is an alien. Only because I remember the Jim Henson movie, "The Great Santa Claus Switch" (1970, I was born until '82 but have still seen this movie). This is the FIRST time Gonzo was ever featured. Anyway, in that movie they say he is a Frackel (no not Fraggle) he was a bit of an outsider to the Frackles because he did not have the trademark large teeth, and lived in a cigar box. It's said that Jim Henson ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - This is no "Muppet Movie"
Jim Henson is sorely missed.

A "Muppets in Space" segment within a half-hour Muppet Show repeat has more laughs. I actually could not believe the violence (including a karate chop to the groin) in a Muppet entertainment. In typical modern movie fashion, there were even men with automatic weapons running around.

This is a Hollywood bastardization of family feel-good quality entertainment that Jim Henson always strived for. Henson would definitely not have approved.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - a lot of fun but WHY FULLSCREEN???
The story is cute and has some pretty good SFX too. But what idiot is still chopping widescreen movies down to fullscreen??!
