 Rating: - A good addition for a CIS troubleshooter...I can't speak to the other Bosch systems, but anybody who owns a CIS Porsche and is interested in understanding (stock up on beer) and troubleshooting the Bosch CIS will benefit from this book. Since I bought this book for my SC with CIS, I now also have a Turbo with CIS, and so I expect this book to stay with me forever. Rating:  - The theory from the creatorsSo, now you finally know how it is really made.. From the engineers of the systems, this is the definitive theory. It does not tell you how to increase your mileage, nor is it the best troubleshooting guide out there. The basics are really detailed and it makes you see how it works. Must have for Bosch FI cars (Jetronic/Motronic) Rating: - excellent starting point for working onBosch EFI systemsFor anyone tinkering with an EFI engine, this book is great for learning the principles of operation. Even better if you've got a pre-1992 Bosch system because it goes through the components of these systems. Starts with overall injection theory, explains the "families" of fuel injection, then how to troubleshoot problems. It finishes by talking about the implications of modifying your EFI engine. This is disappointing, you would think that these authors could tell you how to check the various functions of the control unit. If you want a light read with no real help, go for it. Rating: - Good Technical Detail for All Levels of ExperienceExcellent technical and theoretical detail. As an engineer, but as someone new to learning about injection systems, this book offers a perfect balance between troubleshooting and "Service Manual" detail, and extensive background theory. Use for learning about any injection system, whether Bosch or not. Only slight downside - the edition I got doesn't cover much hardware after the mid 90's - I understand the Author is no longer with us - any chance someone could carry on the good work?
