This is a book based on three years of extensive research by the Barna Group concerning the perceptions of Christianity from the viewpoint of 'outsiders,' or those who are not Christians. The research results are embarrassing and ought to be of great concern to ministers and laity alike.

This book shares a scienitific based review of how the unchurched view mainstream Christianity. Though frank and sobering, the results will not be surprising to most Christians. Rather than reflect God's love, Christians all too often reflect judgementalism. I took the book to heart and will try to be mindful of the way that I image God and the church to the world.
