Editorial Review: Product Description: Now with a new cover, Lori Wick’s bestselling contemporary love story The Princess (over 200,000 copies sold) will reach even more readers. In the Land of Pendaran, Shelby Parker lives a humble but good life. Her special qualities are eventually noticed by the king and queen of the House of Markham, who seek a new wife for their widowed son, Prince Nikolai. To uphold the tradition of their country, Shelby and Nikolai agree to an arranged marriage. But while Nikolai is a perfect gentleman in public, he remains distant at home, leaving Shelby to wonder what is in his heart. Will the prince ever love her as he did his first wife? Can the faith they share overcome the barriers between them? Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Cheesy PrincessThis was my first Lori Wick book. I had been warned that she could be a little cheesy with her "Christianese" but i experienced a whole new level while reading this book. I've tried so hard to find something positive to say but I'm lacking. Except that I did get some good laughs out of moments that were supposed to be serious. I would read sections out loud to my husband and we would just cackle at the overtly sheltered story and shallow characters. I don't disagree ... Rating: - syrup and sugarThis book is so disappointing and the plot so underdeveloped. It's very sad because there is/was a potential to write a totally awesome story. The premise could've been really been developed into a pretty beefy, good Christian story. Unfortunately, all the the characters here are one-dimensional and flawless. In fact, Princess Shelby is so squeaky clean, she makes good ole Cinderella sound like a hack! How can these people be Christian and yet so flawless?? After all, a christian is just a sinner saved ... Read More Rating: - awesomewhat a great love story and truly interesting good book. I loved this book from beginning to end though it was entirely agonizing! Rating: - HILARIOUS!This book is so poorly written that it's actually extremely funny - my sisters and I have garnered hours of fun from reading it aloud to each other to shrieks of mirth. That said, I have re-read it numerous times and genuinely enjoy the story each time. Lori Wick has a knack of making the reader care about her characters which transcends her incredulous plots and terrible prose. I mean, yes, it's completely ridiculous to imagine that anyone in real life could be as *perfect* as Shelby, but I can't help ... Read More Browse for similar items by category:
