Editorial Review:

Product Description:
It's BIG fun from Sandra Boynton in this big, big size of this favorite title. Great for laps and sharing, this oversized edition on thick, sturdy board material is perfect for oversized fun for children of all ages. This classic bedtime story is just right for winding down the day as a joyful, silly group of animals scrub scrub scrub in the tub, brush, brush brush their teeth and finally rock and rock and rock to sleep.

Amazon.com Review:
For a little one who is reluctant to go to bed, sometimes a silly book is just the ticket. And when it comes to silly books, Sandra Boynton is the undisputed queen. In The Going to Bed Book, an ark full of animals watches the sun go down and then prepares for bed. They take a bath ("in one big tub"), find pajamas, brush their teeth, do exercises up on deck (imagine an elephant jumping rope, a moose lifting weights, and a pig doing handstands), and finally say good night.
The moon is high. The sea is deep.
They rock
and rock
and rock
to sleep.
Boynton's inimitable animal characters have graced the pages of scads of picture books over the years. She has an extraordinary knack for knowing what appeals to small children: simple rhymes, goofy animals in goofy settings, and sweet, comforting stories. This book, along with her many other board-book titles (Moo, Baa, La La La!, But Not the Hippopotamus, and others) will surely remain a favorite. (Baby to preschool) --Emilie Coulter

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cute book
My daughter loved this book when she was younger. I bought it for my friends kids.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sure to be a Favorite.
This book has proven to be a favorite book to read before bedtime, for both of my children. Perfect to get for a child between ages of 1 and 2.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Bed Time Book
My son loves listening to this book before bed at night. He is now 3 years old, and still loves to read this book along with other longer books, such as Green Eggs and Ham, or Bad Dog Marley. I have read this book to him so many times that I have it memorized " The sun has set not long ago...now everybody goes below...to take a bath in one big tub, with soap all over, scrub, scrub, scrub." It's a great book for bedtime, because in the end of the book all the characters go to bed. Nice way to get ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Going To Bed Book
My grandchildren love this book and Mom or Dan have to read it every night.
They love the pictures and still ask questions of Mom or Dad. Will order more of Sandra's silly books in future.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wonderful Book, helps with bedtime
My son received this for his first birthday, and since then it has become as staple at bedtime. It helps to aid the bedtime routine, and the tone of the book is right along with it!
