The Cutlass is History
But the site will remain...

Here are some pics of my car. It is in very bad shape, but the price was right. Click on the link below to see the 'before' pictures. There aren't any after pictures just yet, because there isn't an 'after' Cutlass.
My Gutless Cutlass with rust

I am currently working on this page. It's a mess, I know.  I am just tossing links on here until I figure out where I want to put them and will feature links to other Cutlass or G-body pages here.

Some of you may be wondering. Why a Cutlass? Or maybe not. But I have had people ask me... Why an '87 Cutlass. The truth. I just like the car. Here are the reasons that I picked this car.

1) The car was cheap.
2) There was a lot of room for improvement.
3) I can put almost any engine I want in it.
4) This car was brand new when I turned 16 and got my drivers license. I have wanted one since then but at the time I was making $3.35/hr at a fast food place and could never afford a Cutlass, or any new car for that matter.
5) I can afford it now and I can still remember how much I wanted it then.

Ordered a Chevy 350. It ain't new and is actually very ugly, but it has been rebuilt and has "0" miles. This is a big job and I am not doing it. I don't have the tools or the garage space. The Cutlass will also be fit with a new/used tranny since it only has a 6 cyl. in it now. The new tranny is a Turbo 350. I don't have the cash right now for a 700R4 and this was available-cheap. It should be fine and shouldn't cause me any headaches. The car will not be built to the point where it will ruin the tranny nor will it be used to tow anything.

Took my engine apart. I am doing this with a lot of help. (Thanks Scott!) I don't think it had been run except to set the timing and maybe enough to break it in, if that. I am a little surprised by what I found.  Warning: This material is not suited for young children or the faint of heart. If you have heart trouble I recommend that you do not view these pictures.
